Earlier this year on February 18, 2025, we organized a symposium on systems engineering & complexity in hightech together with NXTGEN Hightech. The increasing complexity in the semiconductor industry made it crucial for this symposium to take place. “A good approach helps with complicated problems, but uncertainties play a role in complex issues,” says Tom Castenmiller (ASML), Research Fellow of HTSC. Read the full interview from TU/e’s perspective here.
Read a full summary report of this symposium in Mikroniek nr. 2 ‘Smart Design for Manufacturability’.
As of January 1, 2025, Industrial Engineering & Innovation Sciences (IE&IS) has joined our High Tech Systems Center. The first roadmap on which to collaborate will be the Semiconductor Equipment roadmap. Geert-Jan van Houtum, Dean of IE&IS, has shared his perspective on this.
