Billie Cup replaces disposables in canteens

Bye bye disposables, welcome Billie Cup! This slogan draws attention to the disappearance of disposables from the canteens on campus as of February 14. The Billie Cup is strong, unbreakable, reusable for years and 100% recyclable. Due to these properties, the introduction of this eco-friendly cup is another step in the Let's Go Zero campaign that aims for a waste-free university by 2030. This cup is available for a deposit of €1.00 in the canteens. Read more

 



New finance and procurement systems in 2023

Project uniFI is charged with implementing two new corporate systems: Unit4 for finance and Proactis for procurement. The systems are expected to be in place by January 2023. They will be the new basis for the TU/e financial administration, planning and control. The current Orca system is being replaced because it’s technically outdated, laborious and can no longer implement complex changes. The new systems are future-proof.  Read more

Catching a movie on campus?

De Zwarte Doos, the filmhouse on our campus has recently re-opened its doors to the public. With the help of the Student Film Committee, Studium Generale selected a number of top-notch films that excite, raise questions and in short, broaden your view. At the moment there are still Covid-19 restrictions in place so only a limited amount of visitors are allowed in, but it is likely that the measures will be relaxed in the near future, so please check our website before you want to buy a ticket for a great viewing experience that awaits you. EuroTech Visiting Researcher Program

To increase cooperation between researchers at partner universities, EuroTech is launching a new visiting program. All department staff on a tenure track or holding a permanent position can receive a budget to visit and start collaboration with other Eurotech partners. The application procedure for a visit for 1 to 4 weeks is very simple. Each week up to €1,000 is funded at a partner university to use for purposes like travel and accommodation. Read more
